South Korean rapper Jung Hoseok was born on February 18, 1994 in Gwangju, He have older sister “Jung Ji-woo” South Korea. He is rapper, dancer, song writer and co-producer. Jung Hoseok’s stage name is J-Hope.

He debuted in year 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment as a member of South Korean boy band BTS. In 2018 he released his first solo mix tape “Hope World”, the song was full of positive energy that peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200 charts in United States and he became the highest charting solo artist in South Korea.

J-hope also was the first member of BTS who entered in Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist in 2019 when he released his “Chicken Noodle Soup” featuring singer Becky G and peaked number 81 on chart. In this July 15th 2022 he released his new Studio album “Jack in the Box”.

He is also enrolled at Hanyang Cyber University for the Master of Business Administration program in Advertising and Media in March 2019. Before it he graduated with the degree of Broadcasting and Entertainment from Global Cyber University.

Before joining in BTS, he was a underground dancer in “Neuron” team, and also taking classes of dancing in “Gwangju Music Academy” for six years. He signed in Big Hit Entertainment with fourth grade in his first year in high school. He is specially known for his dancing skills and also won various local prizes including National Dance Competition in 2008 in first place. He auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment and his dancing eventually led interest in singing and became an idol trainee.

As a member of BTS, he debuted on June 13, 2013 with other members. He became the third trainee after RM and Suga. J-hope and BTS member V collaborated with Zara Larsson on a sound track “A Brand New Day” for a mobile game BTS World on June 14, 2019. He released his 1st solo mix tape “Hope World” on March 1, 2018. That was    accompanied a music video for the lead single “Daydream”. On 6 March single “Airplane” released for the B side with a music video. On the Billboard 200 charts the mix tape debuted at number 63 and peaked at number 38 and J-Hope became the highest charting solo Korean artist to ranking that point.

J-hope’s “Hope World” peaked at number 35 on the Canadian Albums Chart and number 19 on US Top Rap Albums chart. "Daydream", "Hope World", and "Hangsang" these other tracks was entered on the World Digital Song Sales at the 3, 16 and 64 numbers respectively.

 J-hope was awarded with the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea with other members of BTS. Also J-hope was joined at Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture by President Moon Jae-in on July 2021 with BTS members. Addittonly J-Hope is the member of "Green Noble Club", they work as high-value donors of Child Fund Korea, he donated 100 million to his high school who attend his school On February 18, 2019. He requested to kept this donation in private when he donated $135,000 in December 2018. He donated another ₩100 million in December 2019. He donated ₩100 million to children’s in support who are experiencing economic difficulties in COVID-19 pandemic. To those children with visual and hearing impairments he donated ₩150 million to support them on February 18, 2021. In Africa, Tanzania he donated ₩100 million for children affected by violence. Jung Hoseok donated ₩100 million to cover heating expenses for children in low-income families and childcare facilities, and for medical expenses of pediatric patients in December. So totally since 2018, J-Hope has donated ₩800 million to Child Fund Korea.
